We are nearing foreclosure and are 5 payments behind. We may be moving from Colorado Springs to Aurora, CO and was wondering what the best option is for us now.

One resource on RealtyTrac that may be helpful to you is the Foreclosure Prevention Center, which allows you to view government programs you might be able to qualify for and gives you the option to contact a local agent or local foreclosure prevention specialist: http://www.realtytrac.com/foreclosure/stop-avoid/stop-foreclosure.html.

A great resource in Colorado is the Colorado Division of Housing. They have a foreclosure hotline to help homeowners facing foreclosure: http://www.coloradoforeclosurehotline.org/. They say that four out of five homeowners who contacted that hotline were able to successfully avoid foreclosure.
